Maddy the Moose

Maddy got back from her one month check-up yesterday and we're so proud of her because she is bulking up. OK, well, she weighs 6 lbs 7 oz, but for her that's huge!! We're so proud of our little moose.



So, Saturday and Sunday night, Maddy decided that she just wasn't going to sleep. She decided that it would be way more fun to cry. She's very good at crying too. In fact, I think if there was an Olympic sport for crying, Maddy would take the gold in all events. The 1 minute cry, the 5 minute cry, the hour and a half cry, the zero to hysterical in 2 minutes. She is the best. Well, when you don't sleep for two days, you end up passing out all day on Monday. So today, we're trying to keep Maddy up and get her on a better schedule.

First, we went to the mailbox and found out that Maddy needs more hats. The two hats mom made when she was born were great, but she's out grown the Totoro hat (once more, so proud!) and one hat is not enough, especially when the house is covered in baby stuff, which can make finding one hat difficult. So Maddy went out to the mailbox in her Strawberry hat from Aunt Kimmie.



Maddy says she needs more hats, although this one did a great job of keeping the sun out of her eyes by covering her whole head. So, I'm doing a shout-out for hats. If you make her one, it will totally get featured on Maddy's blog. I'm going to start one when she passes out this afternoon. Head circumference is 34.5 cm. The big moose. :)

After the walk to the mailbox, we had some tummy time and while Maddy is not particularly fond of tummy time, it is a good way to find your thumb.
